With the meter switched on and in
FOR HIRE mode, Quickly press and release
K1 and K3 buttons together.
If nothing happens try again, do this a maximum 4 times. If still nothing happens then you must have a broken button.
If Disable or a misspelling of this is displayed then you are unable to change the date and time.
You will see some numbers displayed.
The date, the month and in the small screen the time.
Pressing K1 will change the date upwards. When it reaches the maximum date it will jump back to the 1st.
Pressing K2 will change the month upwards.
K3 will change the hours upwards.
K4 will change the minutes upwards.
When you have the correct date and time, press the OP button
You will then see the YEAR
Press K1 or K2 to increase or decrease this
When you have the correct year, press the OP button
Some meters, for example the F1 and newer versions of the F2 or M1 may differ slightly.
If you only have the date showing or time, you will alter each one separately by
PRESSING K1 or K2 to increase or decrease the number.
After you have the correct number press OP
If you find that after entering time change mode, and you cant do anything more, then this function has been disabled. The council have requested that the software programmers make this function not work.
But you can check you have the correct date, and there is one way you can make small adjustments to time. Read on if you want to do this.
This works once every 24hrs with F2, once every month for M1.
For the M1 this waiting time starts from the last time you pressed the following buttons
At 1200hrs. (Midday), and your taximeter MUST BE NO MORE than 3 minutes in front or 3 minutes behind.
The taximeter needs to be in FOR HIRE mode.
You must press the K1 and K3 together and quickly release. Sometimes, and especially with older meters, you may have to do this twice, three or four times.
You will see the time change to 1200hrs when it has worked.
